Maintenance Technician – Domicile

About the role

Greystar is seeking an entry‑level Maintenance Technician to support the physical upkeep of a 306‑unit garden‑style community in Santa Clara. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience in maintenance or a related technical field.
• Availability to work Sunday through Thursday with Fridays and Saturdays off; on‑call duties required.
• Ability to follow safety standards, company policies, and local code requirements.
