About the role

Greystar is seeking an entry‑level Maintenance Technician to work on‑site at a stabilized, garden‑style property in Santa Clara, California. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing the source of defects and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks across the property to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process, preparing vacant apartments for new tenants and move‑ins.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with relatable experience in building or property maintenance.
• Availability to work Sunday through Thursday, with weekends off.
• Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols and regulatory codes.

Required skills

• Technical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical or plumbing issues.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.
