Maintenance Technician – Broadleaf Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Broadleaf garden‑style community in Sacramento. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing defects in accordance with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or property‑management setting.
• Availability to work a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with on‑call duties for after‑hour emergencies.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, work independently and communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
