Maintenance Technician – Brickgate (Fireclay)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Brickgate community at Fireclay. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all work orders and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform hands‑on repairs.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a property environment and follow safety protocols.

Required skills

• Experience with preventative maintenance and building systems.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
