Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Maintenance Assistant supports the Physical Plant department at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope‑Texarkana by ensuring that campus buildings, grounds, and equipment are kept in safe and functional condition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs to interior and exterior building components.
• Maintain and repair furniture, equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Mow lawns, cut weeds, and remove trash from campus grounds.
• Start, operate, and inspect a variety of small engines and lawn‑mowing equipment for safety and proper maintenance.
• Respond to routine maintenance requests and ensure timely completion.
