Construction Project Coordinator Intern

About the role

The Extra Help Assistant/Intern Construction Project Coordinator role offers students enrolled in Construction Management or Civil and Construction Engineering a hands‑on opportunity to support real construction projects on the UA Little Rock campus. Working under the Director of Planning, Design, and Construction, the intern will gain practical experience in all phases of construction and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director and Facilities Management team with construction and project management activities for major and minor campus projects.
• Support planning, scheduling, documentation, and site coordination throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with team members to gather project data, prepare reports, and track progress.
• Participate in site visits to monitor construction progress, safety, and compliance.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in the B.S. Construction Management or B.S. Civil and Construction Engineering programs at UA Little Rock.
• Strong interest in gaining practical construction and project management experience.
• Ability to work onsite and follow mentorship from senior staff.
