Custodian – Facilities Cleaning Positions

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking multiple custodians to maintain clean and safe environments across its campus facilities. This full‑time position involves daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, auditoriums, residence halls, dining areas and other common spaces to support the university’s academic and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of office buildings, classrooms, lecture halls, conference rooms, auditoriums, resident halls, dining areas and other campus locations.
• Maintain cleanliness of building common areas, restrooms, and high‑traffic zones.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and recycling according to university policies.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to the Facilities Supervision department.
• Support campus event coverage by providing flexible cleaning services during evenings, holidays and weekends.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work the schedule of 5:30 am – 2:00 pm with rotating weekends and flexible shifts.
• Willingness to work nights, holidays and weekends for event coverage.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
