Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Maintenance Assistant supports the Division of Agriculture’s Little Rock State Office by performing routine facilities and grounds upkeep, assisting with minor construction projects, and providing general labor as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform building and facilities maintenance, including minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs.
• Assist the facility management team with small‑scale construction tasks such as carpentry and painting.
• Support the Landscape Specialist with grounds‑keeping duties on an as‑needed basis.
• Help ensure a safe, clean, and functional work environment for all staff and visitors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience or training in building construction or related trades.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
