Locksmith (Temporary Fixed-Term Position)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a qualified Locksmith to support its facilities in Little Rock on a temporary, fixed‑term basis. This role is open to current University of Arkansas System employees, including student workers and graduate assistants, who can log into Workday to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of locks, keys, and access control hardware across campus facilities.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies involving security hardware.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory of keys and lock components.
• Ensure compliance with university safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Current employee or student of the University of Arkansas System.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work onsite in Little Rock for the duration of the fixed‑term assignment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in locksmithing techniques, including lock installation, key cutting, and access control troubleshooting.
