About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor at its Kearny, NJ service center to oversee dock and dispatch activities. The role ensures smooth handling of LTL loads and coordinates drivers and freight handlers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage drivers and freight handlers.
- Coordinate dock operations and schedule driver/freight handler shifts.
- Maintain safety compliance on the dock.
- Enforce quality freight handling procedures.
- Dispatch LTL loads in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Service Center Manager.
Required profile
- Proven basic leadership experience.
- Ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational, communication and logistical problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality freight handling and local area.
- Prior LTL leadership experience preferred.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
