Router Supervisor

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an Outbound Router Supervisor for its Kearny, NJ Service Center. This full-time position offers a yearly salary of $75,000 and includes paid time off after the first 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Manage drivers and freight handlers.
• Coordinate dock operations and scheduling for drivers and freight handlers.
• Ensure safety compliance across all activities.
• Maintain quality freight handling procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience.
• Ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication and logistical skills with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling (preferred).
• Familiarity with the city and surrounding areas.
• Prior LTL leadership experience (strongly preferred).

Required skills

• Computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
