Legal Researcher – Remote

About the role

Jerry.ai is seeking a motivated Legal Researcher to join its fast‑growing team. Working remotely, you will partner directly with the company’s Legal Counsel and executive leadership to shape compliance, governance, and product decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own corporate compliance and governance across U.S. and Canada, proactively identifying risks and implementing preventative systems.
• Lead structured legal research on regulatory, consumer‑protection, and product‑related issues, delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Serve as first‑line owner for complex consumer escalations and regulatory inquiries, investigating root causes and proposing scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure features and policies meet legal and regulatory standards.
• Monitor potential IP infringements and support enforcement actions, including drafting cease‑and‑desist communications.
• Conduct compliance audits, setting industry‑leading benchmarks for risk management.
• Design and implement scalable legal processes using AI, low‑code tools, and automation.

Required profile

• Recent law graduate with a strong academic record.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and translate legal ambiguity into practical decisions.
• Resourceful, driven, and comfortable taking end‑to‑end ownership of high‑impact workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
