Legal Assistant – IP Litigation (Hybrid, New York City)

About the role

This Legal Assistant role supports a growing team of attorneys specializing in sophisticated intellectual property litigation, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Based in New York City, the position offers a hybrid schedule with 3‑4 days onsite each week, providing exposure to high‑level litigation work in a boutique firm environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist multiple attorneys with all aspects of IP litigation, including case logistics and court filings.
• Manage calendaring, scheduling, court deadlines, and trial preparation tasks.
• Prepare, proofread, format, and file legal documents in state and federal courts.
• Coordinate attorney travel, scheduling, and administrative support as needed.
• Maintain organized case files while handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting litigation attorneys within a law‑firm setting.
• Exposure to intellectual property matters such as trademarks, copyrights, patents, or trade secrets is preferred.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with court filing systems and litigation platforms.
