Leasing Professional – Lease Up

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to lead lease‑up activities for the Rio Point community in Charlottesville. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process and ensuring a smooth move‑in experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit screenings and criminal background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages, and oversee resident move‑in.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in and coordinate any necessary maintenance.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform occupancy strategies.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral and employer outreach programs.
• Utilize internet marketing tools such as Craigslist, Facebook, and email to drive traffic.
• Maintain accurate records of apartment availability, prospect data, and leasing activity using on‑site property management software.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Detail‑oriented approach to lease documentation and move‑in inspections.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (OneSite, Yardi, etc.).
• Experience using online marketing platforms (Craigslist, Facebook, email campaigns).
