Community Manager – Charlottesville, VA

About the role

The Community Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations of a Greystar multifamily property in Charlottesville, VA. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures financial performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance with all applicable housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and managing the property budget by reviewing financial statements and market data.
• Set rent rates, collect payments, process deposits and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Manage lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of fees.
• Analyze market trends and implement short‑ and long‑term leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Required profile

• Experience in property or community management within the multifamily sector.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial data and make budgetary decisions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
