Leasing Professional for Canterbury Courts Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for the Canterbury Courts community. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring a high‑quality resident experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate any needed maintenance, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and implement concessions or specials to boost occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing activities, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing tools such as Facebook and email.
• Utilize property management software (Entrata preferred, OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to greet, qualify, and guide prospects.
• Attention to detail for application processing, credit screening, and lease preparation.
• Knowledge of local rental market trends and competitor activity.
• Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic.
• Proficiency in using property management software platforms.
