Lease-Up Community Manager for Active Adult Luxury Community

About the role

Greystar is seeking a dynamic Lease-Up Community Manager to launch and lead Sylvan Woods Westchester, a brand‑new luxury active‑adult (55+) community. You will oversee on‑site operations, drive leasing velocity, and shape a resident‑focused culture from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all on‑site operations, including leasing, resident relations, financial reporting, and compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA.
• Drive occupancy and revenue goals by managing the leasing team, monitoring metrics, and executing marketing strategies.
• Supervise hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff, ensuring certifications and compliance.
• Oversee budget creation, forecasting, variance reporting, and NOI optimization through rent growth and expense control.
• Manage vendor contracts, capital projects, and maintenance programs while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and amenity readiness.
• Represent the community externally, attend events, and handle resident satisfaction surveys and online reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4‑6 years of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience, preferably in luxury or active‑adult communities.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• All state and local licenses/certifications required for property management.
• Valid driver’s license (including for operating a golf cart on‑site).
