Lead Maintenance Technician – Avana West Park

About the role

The Lead Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This position handles both resident service requests and preventative maintenance across the Avana West Park community.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage as needed.

Required profile

• Comply with Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) in all weather conditions.
• Maintain flexible availability, including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA Type I & II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on the property).
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to follow established maintenance procedures.
