Junior Accountant – 6‑Month Contract to Hire

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in San Francisco on a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire basis. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations for multiple startup clients, helping to maintain accurate financial reporting and streamline finance workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and accounting records.
• Support bookkeeping activities, reconciliations, and month‑end finance processes.
• Organize and maintain financial data across accounting systems and finance tools.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operational workflows and reporting accuracy.
• Work with modern finance platforms, automation tools, and AI‑enabled workflows to scale startup operations.

Required profile

• Coursework or hands‑on experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related financial operations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Experience with bookkeeping platforms.
• Knowledge of finance tools and automation solutions.
• Comfort using AI‑enabled workflow tools.
