IT Support Specialist (Full-Time) – Natchitoches, LA

About the role

We are looking for a Full‑Time IT Support Specialist to join GDIT’s help‑desk team in Natchitoches, LA. You will be the first point of contact for users of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA ESDMS) and will resolve hardware, software and network issues.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming service calls and process tickets from the self‑service queue.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize end‑user issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software (Windows and macOS) and networking problems.
• Document incident status, actions taken and solutions in the incident database.
• Diagnose problems using historical records and provide root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer‑service or telephone experience.
• Residency in Natchitoches, Sabine, Vernon or Winn Parish and ability to commute within a 60‑mile radius.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite and to obtain a U.S. public trust.
• Access to a high‑speed wired internet connection and a quiet work environment.

Required skills

• Windows operating system troubleshooting.
• macOS troubleshooting.
• Basic networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with contact‑center management databases.
