About the role

The Shade Store is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance for its office environment and support company-wide IT initiatives. You will resolve hardware, software and network issues while delivering excellent customer service to employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity problems.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
  • Support O365 applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Office desktop apps.
  • Support enterprise applications and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate on IT projects and process improvements with the IT Operations Lead.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation and provide remote support for other locations.
  • Manage inventory, asset tracking, VoIP phone systems and mobile device management for Apple and Android devices.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.

Required profile

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or help‑desk roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows, macOS and mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with networking basics (LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and ITSM tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation and occasional travel.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft) are a plus.
