OT Cyber Security Project Leader

About the role

Barilla is seeking an OT Cyber Security Project Leader to drive OT cybersecurity initiatives across its US and Canadian sites. The role is ideal for early‑career professionals looking to gain hands‑on experience and an industry‑recognized certification while contributing to the protection of industrial automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage OT cybersecurity projects in plants and warehouses, ensuring timely implementation of solutions.
• Coordinate regional cybersecurity initiatives, acting as the primary contact between headquarters and local stakeholders.
• Oversee deployment of complex OT network architectures and cybersecurity systems.
• Plan and execute cybersecurity assessments, audits, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations teams to embed security into automation projects.
• Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure compliance with Barilla’s security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of project management experience in industrial automation, IT/OT cybersecurity or system integration, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong leadership, ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluency in English; French required for Canada‑based candidates.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to US and Canadian sites.
