IT Support Engineer

About the role

Collective is looking for an IT Support Engineer to own and automate its macOS fleet, identity stack, office network and IT operations. The role blends deep systems engineering with hands‑on ticket resolution and on‑site support for staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure, scalable IT infrastructure across endpoints, identity, network and SaaS, including automated employee‑lifecycle workflows.
• Engineer and troubleshoot the macOS fleet using command‑line tools, MDM, FileVault, and configuration profiles; manage zero‑touch deployment and compliance.
• Administer core SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, IdP/SSO, and MDM; resolve SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning and MFA issues.
• Manage office network (Wi‑Fi, LAN, VLANs, DHCP/DNS), monitor health, tune performance and handle vendor/ISP escalations.
• Own IT projects from scoping to delivery and communicate status to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Provide end‑to‑end service‑desk support, including face‑to‑face assistance for leadership and events, and maintain knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of IT support or engineering experience, with at least 2 years supporting a majority‑Mac environment.
• Strong command‑line fluency on macOS (bash/zsh) and hands‑on experience with MDM platforms.
• Proven ability to automate workflows using scripting (Bash/Zsh, Python) and AI‑assisted tools.
• Solid networking fundamentals (Wi‑Fi, LAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) and experience managing office infrastructure.
