IT Sourcing & Category Manager

About the role

Invesco is seeking an IT Sourcing & Category Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for key technology spend categories such as software, cloud services, cybersecurity, SaaS platforms, telecom, and hardware. The role partners with IT, Finance, Legal, and Vendor Management to drive cost efficiency and ensure contract compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation and execution of category strategies, conduct market research, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs), evaluate suppliers, and manage bid analysis.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs, and licensing structures while delivering measurable savings.
• Oversee contract lifecycle activities, ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements, and track renewal dates.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Foundational negotiation capability and experience managing end‑to‑end sourcing initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, and Vendor Management.
• Experience with technology spend categories and supplier consolidation.
