Data & Analytics Lead – Remote (Houston, TX)

About the role

We are looking for a Data & Analytics Lead to guide the evolution of dashboards and reporting for a Fortune 50 energy client undergoing a multi‑year enterprise transformation. The role is remote and partners closely with the client’s analytics leadership to define, design and implement the future state of data visualisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing dashboards, reporting logic, data sources and dependencies to capture transition requirements.
• Collaborate with the client’s Data & Analytics Lead to co‑design the roadmap for dashboard and reporting evolution.
• Provide technical feasibility assessments, map dependencies, identify risks and define execution approaches.
• Conduct impact assessments related to platform changes, data model modifications and taxonomy updates.
• Enhance dashboards beyond the base scope, updating logic, calculations, structures and designs.
• Identify gaps between current‑state reporting and business needs, and develop corrective solutions.
• Ensure dashboards are tested, validated and stable throughout the transition.
• Prepare comprehensive hand‑off documentation including technical specifications, data source mappings and maintenance recommendations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or enterprise reporting.
• Hands‑on experience building and enhancing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Strong SQL skills for data querying, validation and analysis.
• Proven analytical ability to assess data models, reporting logic and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Experience conducting impact assessments and translating strategic requirements into technical solutions.
