Cloud Reliability Engineer (US)

About the role

We are hiring a Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our US‑based team. The role involves visiting data centres across the United States to assist customers with on‑premise cloud deployments, while most other tasks can be performed remotely from home.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of servers between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
• Configure new servers and network settings.
• Troubleshoot technical problems.
• Assist customers with on‑premise installations of DaDesktop servers.
• Train customers on DaDesktop usage and deliver short‑term IT training courses.
• Provide consultancy engagements as required.

Required profile

• Strong interest in modern software and hardware technologies.
• Dedication, enthusiasm and an ambitious approach to self‑actualisation and learning.

Required skills

• Linux (Ubuntu) administration.
• Networking in Linux and router configuration.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix.
• Knowledge of common security best practices.
• Familiarity with reflinks, deduplication, KSM, KVM, LXC, ZFS.
• Understanding of Angular, node.js, Meteor, RAID.
• Experience with cloud scalability, migration and modern backup techniques (NVME, OPTANE).
