IT Security & Privacy Coordinator

About the role

The South Carolina Office of Regulatory Staff is seeking an IT Security & Privacy Coordinator to lead its cybersecurity program, support the Operational Support System (OSS), and provide technical assistance across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security policies aligned with SCDIS‑200, manage POAMs in Archer, and address audit findings.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events; maintain security monitoring tools and coordinate with DTO and SC CIC partners.
• Lead incident response activities, conduct risk assessments and vulnerability exercises, and document outcomes.
• Support OSS innovation by designing service catalog items, refining workflows, and monitoring ticket activity.
• Create user guides, videos, and FAQs to promote self‑service and reduce support demand.
• Provide technical support and escalation through ServiceNow, including endpoint and software administration, device imaging, licensing, and access provisioning.
• Track IT assets and coordinate with vendors for equipment and service needs.

Required profile

• Experience managing agency‑wide security and privacy strategies.
• Ability to collaborate with security analysts, legal counsel, and technology operations teams.
• Strong analytical skills for monitoring, incident response, and risk assessment.
• Excellent written communication for documentation, training materials, and user guides.
