Independent Field Inspector – Property Inspections

About the role

Seek Now is looking for independent 1099 Field Inspectors to perform accurate, impartial property inspections for insurance, facility management and real‑estate clients. Inspectors work on a flexible schedule, traveling to residential and commercial sites, often in areas affected by weather events.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lifting and setting up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch and measure roof or room components, and scope various roof and room shapes.
• Perform complete, unbiased inspections, identifying age and condition of structures.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected locations, often on assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks.
• Document findings using Seek Now’s proprietary smartphone application.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and utilize equipment such as 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable vehicle capable of transporting a 32‑foot ladder.
• Valid driver’s license, professional appearance and appropriate insurance (general liability, workers’ compensation).
• Ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Operational laptop and smartphone for data entry and software use.

Required skills

• Proprietary inspection software on a smartphone.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Operation of 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.
• HAAG certification (or ability to achieve it).
