Inbound Router Supervisor

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an Inbound Router Supervisor for its Houston, TX Service Center. The role oversees dock and dispatch operations, ensuring efficient freight handling, safety compliance, and timely LTL load dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage drivers and freight handlers, including scheduling and coordination.
• Coordinate dock operations and driver/freight handler scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of dock activity and load status.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to quality freight handling procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads promptly and communicate status to customers.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication and logistical problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling and familiarity with the Houston area.
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.
