HR Business Partner – People + Culture

About the role

Join the People + Culture team at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as an HR Business Partner. In this pivotal role you will partner with senior leaders across multiple business lines, champion HR best practices, and drive employee engagement and organizational change.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence.
• Lead succession planning, workforce planning, and talent strategy initiatives.
• Guide organizational design, restructuring processes, and change management.
• Leverage people analytics to surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assess functional health and foster a culture that reflects Bank values.
• Provide candid coaching to leaders to strengthen leadership acumen.
• Act as an orchestrator between business units and People + Culture, co‑creating solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, OD, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years in a strategic HR role with experience coaching senior leaders.
• Strategic and holistic thinking combined with tactical execution.
• Deep understanding of business strategy and HR practices.
• Solutions‑focused mindset with strong project and time‑management skills.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of employment laws and standards.
• Ability to work onsite full‑time in San Francisco with up to 10% travel.
