Head of Youth Safety & Well-being Policy

About the role

The Trust & Safety team at TikTok is looking for a senior leader to shape global policy for youth safety and well‑being. As Head of Youth Safety & Well‑being Policy, you will define strategy, influence product design, and serve as the public face of TikTok’s youth protection efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global policy strategy for youth safety, covering CSAM, age‑inappropriate content, and psychological harm.
• Develop clear, enforceable policy positions aligned with international child‑protection frameworks and legal obligations.
• Guide product and feature decisions—account defaults, recommendations, parental controls—to reinforce safety intent.
• Represent TikTok at conferences, media outlets, and external forums with child‑protection NGOs, researchers, and civil‑society groups.
• Partner with Policy Enforcement, Operations, and Product teams to improve human and AI‑driven moderation systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Trust & Safety, child‑protection policy, public policy, law, prevention science, or social work with a focus on youth safety.
• Proven ability to lead teams, set strategic direction, and deliver high‑quality outputs in a fast‑paced, global environment.
• Deep knowledge of online harms affecting youth, including CSAM and developmental risks.
• Familiarity with international child‑protection laws, UNCRC, and mandatory reporting obligations.
• Exceptional communication skills for senior executives, external stakeholders, and broad audiences.
