Groundskeeper/Porter – Lake Colony

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will ensure that the Lake Colony community maintains a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and visitors. Working on‑site in Garland, Texas, you will support the service team by handling daily upkeep of grounds, common areas, and vacant units.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect community grounds and common areas throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet droppings to maintain curb appeal.
• Collect and dispose of trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and keep storage spaces clean.
• Perform minor and routine service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager, and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnover.
• Change locks in accordance with property policy and ensure security standards are met.
• Support the service team by reporting maintenance issues and helping with basic upkeep of amenities.

Required profile

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and residents.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of lock replacement and key management.
• Familiarity with waste handling and recycling procedures.
• Experience using standard grounds‑keeping tools and equipment.
