Make Ready Specialist – Lake Colony

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Make Ready Specialist for its Lake Colony community in Garland. The specialist ensures vacant apartments are turned over to market‑ready condition by completing repairs, improvements, and cleaning in line with Greystar’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move‑in using the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and related maintenance records promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Commitment to cost‑cutting and waste‑reduction practices.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, respectful interaction with residents and prompt response to maintenance inquiries.
• Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and report incidents accurately.
