Future Founder – Engineering

About the role

Cotera is seeking a highly motivated engineer to join as a “Future Founder.” Over a two‑year period you will work side‑by‑side with the CEO and the engineering team to build, ship, and iterate on the core product while gaining deep exposure to both technical and commercial aspects of a startup.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and engineering team to define and deliver high‑priority product features.
• Translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete, shipped solutions.
• Prototype quickly, test ideas, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to accelerate development, debugging, and analysis.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, from concept through impact measurement.
• Contribute to customer success systems and overall product strategy.

• Comfortable with failure and iterative improvement.
• Strong product mindset – interested in user problems, validation, and impact.
• Ambitious to understand the full mechanics of building a company.

Required skills

• Ability to build functional software from ambiguous requirements.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., code generators, debugging assistants).
