About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its Meriden, CT service center. The position starts at $24.95 per hour, Monday‑Friday with a 5:00 PM start time. PTO becomes available after the first 90 calendar days.
Key responsibilities
- Move various types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Read and follow shipping manifests.
- Interact with computer displays to track loads.
Required profile
- Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced or LTL setting.
- Ability to read manifests and use computer interfaces.
