Diesel Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Meriden, CT Service Center. The role involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers and related equipment on a full‑time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Use the Cetaris system for work orders and complete trailer preventative maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with preventive maintenance.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and possess own tools.
• Experience with AC and electrical systems.
