About the role
Chalk is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join as an early employee in its San Francisco office. This is a full‑time, on‑site position where you will work closely with the co‑founders to shape the next iteration of the platform. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and ownership while collaborating with a fast‑growing team.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with Chalk’s co‑founders to productionize the first iteration of the platform.
- Develop features using TypeScript, Python, Go, and React, exposing core platform functionality to data scientists and ML users.
- Iterate rapidly on the product based on customer feedback and evolving requirements.
Required profile
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong foundation in computer‑science fundamentals and a track record of building sophisticated user‑facing applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly and work autonomously.
