FP&A Analyst – New College Graduate (MBA)

About the role

Join Applied Materials' Operations Finance FP&A team in Santa Clara as a new‑college‑grad analyst. You will support product‑segment finance, create analytical content for senior leadership, and help drive strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform spend analytics that translate business decisions into actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain predictive financial models, monitor outcomes, and revise forecasts rapidly.
• Interpret financial results and present recommendations to executives.
• Update content for investor‑relations events and board meetings.
• Provide modeling, analysis, and valuation support for acquisitions and projects.
• Identify and implement reporting of key financial metrics to improve visibility.
• Partner with IT to implement reporting systems and processes.
• Act as a finance business partner and subject‑matter expert across the business.

Required profile

• MBA degree with planned graduation in May/June 2027 (4‑7 years prior finance/accounting experience preferred).
• Strong communication, influence, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Analytical and financial‑modeling expertise, including experience with AI and data‑analytics tools.
• Intellectual curiosity and a drive for process improvement.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, global environment.
