Field Mechanic

About the role

The Field Mechanic will travel across Texas to support project sites, performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs. You will work closely with field teams, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional internal customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑range servicing, inspections, and repairs on fleet equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and respond to emergency breakdowns, including after‑hours and weekend calls.
• Travel to customer job sites, often overnight, and maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using visual inspection and computer diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate records of time, materials, repair orders, and weekly timesheets in company software.
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to less‑experienced mechanics when required.

Required profile

• Advance‑level skilled or career‑level mechanic with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Texas, including overnight stays.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
