Facility Manager – Operations Leader for Organic Recycling

About the role

Denali is seeking a Facility Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations at one of its organic recycling sites in North Carolina. You will oversee receiving, processing, bagging and selling of organic materials while driving profitability and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the facility’s P&L, budgeting and financial performance.
• Lead a team of managers, supervisors, operators and drivers, handling hiring, training, performance reviews and development.
• Coordinate core operations including receiving, depackaging, composting, processing, testing, bagging, and shipping of finished products.
• Produce daily operational reports and track key performance metrics.
• Develop and execute operational plans to meet performance targets and company standards.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors to support efficient and cost‑effective operations.
• Collaborate with General Manager, Assistant General Manager and leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a large‑scale facility or plant, preferably in waste, recycling or related industries.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Ability to analyze financial data, control costs and meet budget objectives.
• Excellent communication skills to convey expectations, training and performance metrics.
