Experienced HVAC Service Tech for Multi-Family and Light Commercial Work

About the role

Join Custom Aire’s service team as an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician. With at least five years of experience you will act as the face of Custom Aire for customers in commercial, industrial and institutional settings.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain HVAC equipment such as unit heaters, pumps and safety controls.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in HVAC systems and components.
• Repair or replace HVAC items and perform preventive maintenance on heating, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Provide on‑site equipment training to customers and mentor junior technicians.
• Prepare service records, work orders and warranty documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations and ensure safety compliance.

Required profile

• HVAC certificate or diploma with five or more years of commercial service experience (or high school diploma with eight to ten years).
• EPA 608 Universal certification.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel to worksites, including overnight and weekend assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• HVAC installation and maintenance.

• Reading mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems.
