Executive Director, Healthcare Operations

About the role

We are seeking an Executive Director of Healthcare Operations to lead administrative, financial, operational and strategic initiatives across a large, complex academic health system in the New York City area. The role works closely with executive leadership and physicians to drive operational excellence, support growth, and enhance patient care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multi‑site clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
• Lead budgeting, business planning, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
• Optimize financial performance and compliance across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with physicians and senior leaders to implement large‑scale improvement projects.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support growth and quality of care.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience within a large academic medical center or complex health system.
• Strong background in healthcare operations, finance, budgeting, compliance and physician relations.
• Track record of leading strategic initiatives, managing change and driving organizational growth.
