Early Childhood Development Specialist – Mountain View

About the role

The Early Childhood Development Specialist provides developmental assessment and support for young patients at the Mountain View campus of UAMS. This clinical staff position works closely with families, pediatric teams, and community resources to promote optimal early childhood development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental screenings and evaluations for children.
• Develop individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings.
• Collaborate with pediatric clinicians, therapists, and families to implement and monitor interventions.
• Provide education and training to caregivers on developmental milestones and strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Early Childhood Development, Developmental Psychology, or related field.
• Relevant clinical experience working with young children and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
