Director of User Experience (Healthcare Tech)

About the role

Newfire Global Partners is seeking an experienced Director of User Experience to lead its embedded UX team serving a major healthcare technology client. This senior leadership position will oversee a growing team of researchers and designers, driving design excellence and strategic alignment with product and engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on management, coaching, and mentorship to 2 UX researchers and 5 senior designers.
• Conduct design and research critiques, ensuring high‑quality outputs across all projects.
• Review and approve research and design plans, and lead performance development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with product and engineering directors.
• Collaborate with the VP of Product on roadmap planning and UX prioritization.
• Partner with the VP of User Experience on overall UX strategy and practice evolution.
• Represent UX in cross‑functional planning, decision‑making, and quarterly business reviews.
• Maintain systems that give leadership and clients real‑time visibility into team activity, project assignments, and deliverables.
• Manage project tracking to ensure consistent design quality across multiple concurrent healthcare features.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading UX teams in a B2B or healthcare technology environment.
• Strong ability to build strategic relationships with product and engineering leadership.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills, with a track record of fostering collaborative team cultures.
• Demonstrated capability to translate UX strategy into operational execution.
