Director of Strategic Finance

About the role

zerohash is looking for a Director of Strategic Finance to lead its strategic planning, FP&A, and commercial finance efforts. This role will report directly to the VP, Corporate Finance and Treasury. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in strategic finance, corporate planning, or high‑performance analytical roles, combined with operating experience in a high‑growth tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the consolidated corporate three‑statement financial model and create dynamic top‑down and bottom‑up forecasts for headcount planning and capital allocation.
• Build a framework to track contribution margins per product and per‑platform customer.
• Align product strategy and roadmap with revenue teams, using competitive analysis and market comps to validate pricing and maximize ROI.
• Partner with the Revenue organization on strategic pricing and complex enterprise contracts to protect cost structure and expand margins.
• Lead vendor strategy and cost optimization, managing commercial negotiations and the COGS stack to improve unit economics.
• Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, maintain financial model infrastructure, and create investor‑facing materials.
• Develop a customer cohort framework to analyze LTV and CAC across product lines and verticals.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles with operating leadership.
• Background in investment banking or private equity, followed by strategic finance/FP&A experience at a high‑growth technology company.
• Experience in FinTech, especially crypto, digital assets, payments, or banking/brokerage infrastructure (preferred).

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling (three‑statement models) in Excel.
• SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Business intelligence tools such as Databricks.
• AI and automation tools for workflow optimization.
