About the role
The Director of Advancement Information Technology leads the technology strategy and operations that support University Advancement. Dedicated full‑time to Advancement, the role owns the application portfolio, donor data, system integrations, reporting, analytics, and vendor relationships to enable fundraising and alumni engagement goals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the technology roadmap for Advancement, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT standards for security, identity, architecture, and data.
- Own the Advancement application portfolio, including CRM platforms, integration tooling, and reporting solutions.
- Manage vendor contracts, service performance, and relationships for all Advancement‑related systems.
- Collaborate with University IT Services shared service teams (Applications Development, Integrations, Microsoft Fabric, Identity & Security, Project Management) to deliver AI‑driven automation and low‑code solutions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems or related field (master’s preferred).
- Five or more years of progressive IT experience, including enterprise application and data system ownership.
- Two or more years leading projects, programs, or cross‑functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing the operations and roadmap of a CRM or comparable enterprise business application.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud) or comparable enterprise CRM.
- Familiarity with Advancement‑specific systems such as Affinaquest, Advancement RM, Blackbaud, Encoura Anthology Encompass, VanillaSoft, Give Campus, ThankView, EverTrue.
- Proficiency with integration platforms (SnapLogic, Gearset, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica) and modern analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of email deliverability standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and experience applying AI agents, automation, or low‑code tooling.
What we offer
- Salary range $105,000 – $115,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
