About the role
Mastercard is seeking a Director, Global Social Media to lead the company’s social presence worldwide. Reporting to the SVP of Global Brand Advertising, Social Media & Agency Relations, the role will define the vision and operating model for Mastercard’s social channels, building community and delivering measurable business impact.
Key responsibilities
- Set and execute a global social media strategy aligned with Mastercard’s brand objectives.
- Develop and manage community‑building programs that foster conversation and brand affinity.
- Provide strategic counsel and hands‑on leadership to shape brand voice and creative storytelling across platforms.
- Partner with Global, Regional and Market teams to translate business priorities into clear, measurable social plans.
- Elevate creative output, raise the creative bar and accelerate audience growth.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in global social media or brand communications.
- Strong track record of delivering culturally relevant storytelling and community engagement.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Communications, Product, Operations, Technology and HR.
