Director, Business Unit Military Global Sustainment

About the role

Moog is seeking a Director to lead the Military Global Sustainment business unit, focusing on the Navy aviation aftermarket. The role is hybrid, based in Buffalo, NY, and works closely with locations in East Aurora, Torrance and Wolverhampton.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the Navy book of business and long‑term growth strategy.
• Develop, maintain and expand Moog’s position in the Navy sustainment market.
• Lead pricing, contract negotiation and business case development for recurring and new business.
• Build and mentor program managers, establishing succession plans and career growth.
• Drive proposal teams and capture campaigns to grow the organization’s book of business.
• Communicate effectively with customers, Moog management and functional organizations to resolve issues.
• Monitor military and industry budgets, translate forecasts into demand insights.
• Accountable for large program or product line performance across multiple sites.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field; MBA or higher preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in sales, preferably in MRO or defense procurement.
• Proven track record in budget/forecast planning, negotiation and sales‑force management.
• Leadership experience overseeing multi‑site business development activities.
• U.S. Military officer background with warfare, acquisition or contracts experience is highly desired.
