Direct Care Worker

About the role

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking compassionate Direct Care Workers to support elderly, disabled, and intellectually‑disabled participants in their homes. You will provide safe, respectful, and dignified personal care while fostering independence and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver physical and emotional care to participants experiencing illness, injury, or disability.
• Assist with daily living activities such as toileting, bathing, feeding, grooming, and medication reminders.
• Provide home assistance including light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and encouragement to promote mental health.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lb and to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic caregiving and personal assistance skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with participants and families.
