About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Crisis Case Manager (Level 3) to lead Home Study and Post‑Release Services for unaccompanied children in the United States. This short‑term position supports the safety and stability of children placed with sponsors after release from ORR custody.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Home Studies to assess sponsor suitability and safety for child placement.
- Provide ongoing Post‑Release Services, including remote case management and in‑home visits.
- Develop individualized service plans that address financial, medical, social, and vocational needs.
- Coordinate with community resources to ensure continuous support for children and sponsors.
- Maintain detailed case records and report outcomes to program leadership.
Required profile
- Experience working with vulnerable children, refugees, or in humanitarian case management.
- Ability to assess complex family dynamics and safety considerations.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel for in‑home visits across multiple states.
